Gas prices going up in Ottawa on Jan. 21

Ottawa residents are set to see an increase at the gas pumps.
EnPro International said the price of gas is going up three cents on Saturday, Jan. 21 to an average of $1.539 a litre at most Ottawa gas stations.

Back in June of 2022, the price at the pumps in Ottawa hit a record $2.159 a litre.
The Ontario government tabled legislation that would leave the tax break that cut gas prices by 5.7 cents a litre in place until the end of 2023. The cut first went into effect on July 1 and was originally due to expire on Dec. 31, 2022.
