An overnight fire at Camp B'nai Brith of Ottawa is being investigated by police due to “suspicious elements.”

Emergency services responded to a call for a fire at the camp, located across the Ottawa River in Luskville, Québec, around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

The camp's warehouse was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. A secondary building caught fire while firefighters were on the scene, which was quickly extinguished before any more than minor damage could be sustained.

According to a media release, firefighters transferred the investigation over to MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais police because of “certain suspicious elements” of the fire.
