Multiple charges laid against 31-year-old where threats were made

One person is facing criminal charges after an incident where threats were made. 

On Feb. 11 just before 6 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for service where alleged threats were being made at a residence on the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation community near Golden Lake.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 31-year-old Blayne Commanda with the following offences:

  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Utter threat to cause death or bodily harm

The accused attended a bail hearing and remains in custody.
