Redblacks receive 12th overall pick from Elks in 2023 CFL draft for rights to linebacker Woodly Appolon

The Ottawa Redblacks have received the 12th overall pick in the 2023 Canadian Football League (CFL) fraft from the Edmonton Elks for the rights to linebacker Woodly Appolon.

With the most recent trade, the Redblacks now have three picks in the second round, six picks in the first three rounds, and 10 overall, the most of any team in the CFL. 

Appolon was drafted in the fifth round, 40th overall, by Ottawa in 2022.
