Line 1 O-Train returns to full service

By CityNews Ottawa

Full service on the Confederation Line resumed just after 7 p.m. on Thursday evening.

Line 1 was completely shutdown between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair on Wednesday morning, after five trains lost power and became stranded during the freezing rain.

OC Transpo said several steps were completed overnight Thursday to restore service in the west, including manually removing ice build-up, re-energizing the system and inspecting stopped trains and removing them. Crews repeated the same steps in the east to get the trains back up and running.
