Residential garage in Kanata goes up in flames

There are no injuries after a garage fire in Kanata Sunday evening.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting heavy black smoke and flames coming from a home in the 100 block of Flowing Creek Circle around 8:30 p.m.
While on route, firefighters could see a large black cloud of smoke from a distance and a working fire was declared.
A second-alarm was declared when crews arrived on scene because a garage was fully involved and the fire was spreading to the rest of the home.
The fire spread into the attic but was brought under control before 9:30 p.m.
A fire investigator was dispatched to the scene to determine the cause.
