Ottawa man charged in connection with indecent act in Centretown

A man from Ottawa is facing multiple charges in connection with an indecent act in Centretown.

The charges come after the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) received public complaints of an individual causing a disturbance near Wellington and Lyon streets.

At approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to the area and located a man yelling and making threats to passers-by and other residents.

According to police, the man also exposed his genitals and made sexual gestures.

Ahmed Hashiem, 33, faces the following charges:

Committing an indecent act in a public place
Uttering threats
Causing a disturbance
