Human remains discovered along Rideau River near Hog’s Back Park

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has launched an investigation after human remains were discovered along Rideau River near Hog’s Back Park.

In a statement to CityNews Ottawa, the OPS said the remains were found near Heron Road and Colonel By Drive at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Police said investigators are still determining the identity of the individual.

Officers are at the scene as the investigation continues.
