The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is advising residents that it continues to monitor the potential for vehicle based demonstrations that could be coming through the nation’s capital over the next few days.

The OPS issued an update on X, noting that officers are “constantly assessing the situation, and remain committed to the safety and well-being of our residents. We are aware of and sensitive to community concerns.”

Police said that resources are in place should anything occur.

“Reminder: There is zero tolerance for unlawful behaviour and vehicle-based demonstrations,” police said. “We are constantly assessing the situation, and we remain committed to the safety and well-being of our residents. We are aware of and sensitive to community concerns.”
