NCC cancels shuttle to Gatineau Park due to heavy rain

The National Capital Commission (NCC) is not providing its shuttle bus service to Gatineau Park this weekend to due to heavy rain.
The NCC announced that due to heavy rain expected in the region, the shuttle bus to Gatineau Park will not run on Saturday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 8.

The shuttle will run, as scheduled, on Thanksgiving Monday, October 9.

The shuttle service will resume on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 9.

“If you choose to visit Gatineau Park anyway, act safely and responsibly,” said the NCC. “Trails will be wet and muddy. Wear appropriate footwear and stay within trail boundaries, even if it means walking through mud and puddles. Straying off the trail or walking on the edges damages trail land, causing erosion and widening.
The free shuttle to Gatineau Park runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends between Sept. 30 and Oct. 22
