Store in Vanier damaged after driver crashes into it

A store on McArthur Avenue in Vanier was damaged after a car drove into it Wednesday afternoon.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) said someone drove through the entrance of the Moussa Mini Market and Meat Shop located on the 300 block McArthur Avenue near Lacasse Avenue around 1:40 p.m on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

OFS said on X that “due to the integrity of the structure being compromised, our Structural Collapse Team spent approximately 2.5 hours shoring the structure.”

A City of Ottawa building inspector was sent to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
