Driver, 72, killed in two-vehicle collision in Clarence-Rockland

A two-vehicle collision in Clarence-Rockland has left a senior dead.

The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the crash around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, along with Prescott-Russell Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

The collision happened on County Road 17 between an eastbound passenger vehicle and a pickup truck.

The 72-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the 27-year-old driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
