Six people facing charges after police seize drugs, firearms at Perth residence

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers arrested and charged six people after executing a search warrant at a home in Perth on Friday, Oct. 27.

Officers seized quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, psilocybin, cash and three firearms.

Christopher Curran, 35 of Carleton Place, is charged with:

–      Unauthorized possession of a firearm

–      Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner – two counts  

–      Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose

–      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

–      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

–      Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – four counts

–      Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

–      Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm

–      Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm

–      Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court – two counts

Dylan, Greene, 23 also of Carleton Place, is charged with:

–      Possession of schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine

–      Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court – three counts

Cayla Ann Kerr, 36, also from Perth, is charged with:

–      Possession of schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine

Corinne Shelley, 44, also from Perth, is charged with:

–      Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

–      Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

Anthony Kidder, 25, of Tay Valley Township, is charged with:

–      Possession of schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine

Brennan Wylie, 26, of Smiths Falls, is charged with:

–      Possession of schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine.

Shelley is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Dec. 18, 2023. The other five accused were held for bail hearings.
