Ottawa’s Greig, Kastelic doubtful for next few games

Ottawa Senators forwards Ridly Greig and Mark Kastelic are doubtful for the next few games after suffering lower-body injuries in a loss to the Los Angeles Kings, coach DJ Smith said Thursday.

The 21-year-old Greig suffered the injury early in the first period while battling for the puck with Kings forward Adrian Kempe.

Greig entered Thursday’s game with two goals and seven points in eight games this season and saw an increased role with Shane Pinto’s absence from the lineup.

In the second period, Kastelic exited after he lost an edge and crashed into the boards.

Kastelic doesn’t have a point in nine games this season.

The Senators entered the game missing three injured defencemen — Thomas Chabot, Erik Brannstrom and Artem Zub.
