Ottawa firefighters quickly contain shed fire in Vanier North

Firefighters quickly knocked down a shed fire in Vanier North overnight.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to the fire between two homes on Lavergne Street, between Michel Circle and Pères-Blancs Avenue shortly after 12:30 a.m. following multiple 9-1-1 calls.

Firefighters had the blaze contained within moments of arriving on scene, preventing any extension or danger to the nearby homes.

The fire was under control by 12:45 a.m. and there are no injuries reported.

A fire Investigator will not be required to attend the scene.
