Fire crews rescue trapped driver from vehicle in south Ottawa

Ottawa firefighters helped a trapped driver from their vehicle after an early morning collision in Ottawa’s south end on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) said fire crews responded to the area of Ramsayville Road and Walkley Road just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Firefighters found a driver trapped in their vehicle in a ditch. The vehicle had sustained “heavy damage” said OFS on X.

“Firefighters had stabilized the vehicle and began using specialized tools to extricate the occupant,” OFS said.

The driver was extricated from their vehicle at 3:40 a.m.
