Police looking for suspect in Kanata store robbery

Ottawa police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect in a robbery that occurred on December 7, 2023.
Police say it happened around 4:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Eagleson Road.
The suspect entered the property and stole an unspecified amount of merchandise. They also assaulted an employee of the store and attempted to apprehend him.
The suspect is described as:
- White male
- In his 30s
- 5’8″ (173cm) in height
- Stocky build
- Has a dark beard
- Wearing a tan-coloured parka, dark toque, and dark clothing
Police ask anyone with information as to identifying the individual, or have information of the incident to contact the robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116.
