63-year old faces several weapons charges in township west of Ottawa

Police have arrested a 63-year-old man for making threats over the holidays with a firearm.

The Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they responded to a call involving threats on Beaudry Lane in Bonnechere Valley Township around 4:30 p.m. on December 20.

David Nolan, 63, was arrested and faces charges of uttering death threats, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and careless use of a firearm.

No injuries were reported.

Nolan attended a bail hearing and was released on conditions.

He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 7.
