Gatineau police searching for missing man with intellectual disabilities

The City of Gatineau Police Service (SPVG) is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.

It’s believed Luc Labelle, 55, was last seen around 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10 when he left his home in the Rivière-Blanche district on foot.

The SPVG says those close to Labelle have reasons to fear for his health and safety and wish to ensure his well-being.

Labelle has an intellectual disability with a mental age of approximately 12.

Labelle is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 5’6” tall
  • 201 lbs.
  • Brown hair
  • Brown eyes

He was last seen wearing a black winter coat, black jogging pants and a blue Montreal Canadiens toque with a pompom.

He is known to travel by public transit.
