Portion of County Road 43 closed between Perth and Smiths Falls for transport removal

A heads up for those travelling between Perth and Smiths Falls.

A portion of Country Road 43 is closed in both directions east of Port Elmsley after a tractor trailer veered into a ditch.

Members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are on scene directing traffic while the transport is removed from the ditch.

You’re asked to avoid the area if possible and alternate routes are in place.
