Police searching for suspects in west end assault

Ottawa police are asking the public for help in finding three people involved in an assault on Jan. 11.

Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said the assault happened at around 11:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Meadowlands Drive.

Police said three suspects posed as a food delivery service and confronted one of the victims at their residence. They said there was an altercation and what they believe to be bear spray was released in the air.

Ottawa paramedics treated several people on scene for minor injuries.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, wearing a black winter coat with a logo on the top left, grey pants, black gloves and black shoes.

They describe the second suspect as a black male, wearing a black winter coat with a logo on the left sleeve, pink pants, white runners with coloured details and a white medical style mask.

OFS described the third suspect as a black male, wearing a black coat, black pants, black runners and carried a red food delivery bag.
