Police nab impaired driver in Ottawa’s south end

Ottawa police have arrested a man after a vehicle was found in a ditch in a residential neighbourhood Friday morning.

Investigators say the car was found near Banner Road and Parkmount Crescent around 6:30 a.m.

The driver ran from police, but was later arrested for impaired driving.

Police did not say how long it took to apprehend the suspect.

Ottawa police continue to investigate the incident.

Officers say they continue to see impaired driving at all hours of the day, and they are urging the public not to get behind the wheel impaired.
