Police arrest Porsche driver on Highway 401 for speeding, stolen credit cards

Police arrested and charged three men in Lexington and Addington county after finding stolen credit cards during a stunt driving stop.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they pulled over a 2023 Porsche Cayenne in the town of Greater Napanee on Saturday for going 150 kilometres an hour.

Police said the vehicle smelled like cannabis and, after searching it, found a concealed knife and five suspected stolen credit cards.

Police arrested and charged Cunha-Anastacio Bruno-Alexandre, 27, Niyonkuru Samputu, 28, and Steven Achille, 27.

Achille was charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.

Police said the vehicle was impounded for two weeks and Bruno-Alexandre’s license was suspended for 30 days.

All three were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on March 5, 2024.
