Brighton man charged after company out $80K, says OPP

Police say a 51-year-old man faces over a dozen charges following a lengthy fraud investigation and was arrested on Monday.

Provincial police say that over $80,000 of funds were misappropriated from an unnamed company.

Police charged Todd Bishop, 51, with criminal breach of trust, three counts of forgery, four counts of fraud over $5,000, fraud under $5,000, four counts of theft over $5,000 and theft under $5,000.

Bishop was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 29.

Police aren’t releasing the name of the organization because they are considered a victim.
