61-year-old woman among 8 people hit with over 50 charges in Pembroke drug raid

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP say eight people face a total of 54 charges after police seized illegal drugs in a city northwest of the capital.

The OPP executed a search warrant on February 29 at an apartment on Pembroke Street East in Pembroke, Ont.

Police say they found suspected fentanyl, cocaine and meth, a stolen firearm, and items usually linked with drug trafficking, including digital scales, packaging material and multiple cell phones.

OPP charged Kerry Lynn Bilodeau, 41, Shawn William Bolger, 36, Joanne Reis, 61, Arin Rose, 21, each with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Bilodeau is facing an additional charge of failing to comply with a probation order. Bolger faces two extra charges of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order. Reis also faces three charges of failing to comply with a probation order. Rose faces two more charges of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and two charges of failing to comply with probation.

Police have also charged Owen Irving, 22, Lorraine Kenny, 54, Jillian Melancon, 40, and Brianna Lynn Saker, 43 with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Saker, Kenny, and Melancon were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 16.

Irving, Bilodeau, Bolger, Reis, and Rose were held for a bail hearing on Friday.
