Police say a G2 driver is in hot water after being caught driving well over the speed limit on Friday.

OPP say the driver was clocked just after 8 p.m. going 174 km/h on Highway 417.

Police say they suspended the 19-year-old’s driver’s license for 30 days and impounded their vehicle for two weeks.

The teen faces a minimum $2,000 fine, and six demerit points, if convicted.
