ByWard Market stabbing leaves man with serious injuries

Ottawa Police say they’re investigating after a man was stabbed in the ByWard Market on Tuesday.

Ottawa Police Service (OPS) say at around 9:30 p.m. officers were called to the area of York Street and Sussex Drive about a stabbing.

Emergency crews found an injured 27-year-old man with stab wounds. They brought him to the hospital in serious, but not life-threatening, condition.

Police have not made any arrests but say there is no concern for public safety.

The investigation is ongoing.
