Reconstruction work to impact Highway 417 traffic east of Casselman starting next month

Paving work is set to begin on a portion of Highway 417 east of Casselman next month.

The work will commence on Monday, April 1 on both the eastbound and westbound lanes from 1.5 km east of the Highway 138 interchange to just east of the County Road 30 interchange.

The work will include grading, drainage, paving, and electrical improvements.

As part of the reconstruction work, traffic will be detoured to a two-lane, two-way detour where eastbound and westbound traffic are reduced to a single lane, separated by a concrete barrier.

Motorists should expect delays both eastbound and westbound during this construction season from April 1 until December 1.
