Spring will officially arrive at 11: 06 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 and we can expect below average temperatures for at least the first few days, though not by much.

Environment Canada is calling for flurries Tuesday afternoon with a  high 1 C, followed by a 60 per cent chance of flurries Tuesday night and an overnight low of -6.

The average daytime high for this time of year is around 3 C.

We are also looking at a chance of flurries for the first full day of spring on Wednesday with a high 1 C, before the temperature dips down to allow -13 overnight.

The weather agency is calling for plenty of sunshine later this week and into the weekend.

Sunshine is forecast Thursday though Sunday with highs between -1 and 3 C.
