Ottawa police arrest 1 after Kanata shooting

Police say there were no injuries after an evening shooting in Kanata on Monday.

Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says at around 6:30 p.m. officers responded to reports of a shooting on Winterset Road, off Campeau Drive.

Police arrested a suspect at the scene for discharging a firearm.

They have not released the suspect’s name.

OPS asks anyone with information on the shooting to call their West District Investigations Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2666.
