G2 driver caught going 161km/h on Hwy. 417

The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) caught a G2 driver going 161 km/h on Highway 417 on Tuesday, Apr. 23.

Provincial police have laid charges after a driver was caught going more than 60 km/h over the speed limit in Ottawa.

The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) caught a G2 driver going 161 km/h on Highway 417 on Tuesday, Apr. 23.

Also, according to the OPP, the weather at the time made for extra dangerous driving conditions.

The driver was charged with stunt racing and received a 30-day licence suspension.

The vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
