Police looking into ‘suspicious incident’ involving a man and child

Ottawa police are attempting to identify a man involved in what they describe as a “suspicious incident involving a child.”
On Monday afternoon in Kanata, it was reported a man in his vehicle approached a person under the age of 16 who was walking near Banning Road.
The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section (SACA) say the person was able to escape the encounter.
Police say the man was driving a black Honda Ridgeline with slightly tinted windows with a black interior.
Officials are concerned there may have been more incidents similar to this one.
The driver is described as:
- White man
- In his 50s
- Light-coloured eyes
- Clean shaved
- Balding on top of his head
- Spoke english
