Images released of Kanata store robbery suspect

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) have released images of a suspect they believe was involved in a robbery in Kanata.

It occurred in the evening around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21 in the 500 block of Hazeldean Road.

Police say the suspect made their way behind the counter and removed a number of products. They are also alleged to have assaulted store staff before leaving the scene.

There were no reports of any injuries to the store workers.

Police describe the suspect as the following:

• White male
• Mid-20s to early 30s in age
• Approx. 5’6″ with a slim build
• Brown/black beard
• Wearing dark hat, blue Adidas hoodie, dark pants and white Under Armour shoes at the time of the incident
