Firefighters respond to upside down vehicle in ditch near Vars

Fire crews were requested by Ottawa police early this morning for a vehicle upside down in a ditch.

Officials responded at 3:51 a.m. for a vehicle at the intersection of Rockdale Road and Russland Road just outside of Vars. Once on scene, crews found the vehicle and saw four people that had made it to safety.

The four occupants were assessed and treated by firefighters before paramedics arrived.

The scene was cleared at 4:55 a.m. and was left in the control of Ottawa police.
