What’s open and closed on Colonel By Day in Ottawa
The Civic long weekend is upon us.
That means there are a number of municipal closures and schedule changes to be aware of.
Monday, August 5 is not a statutory holiday so many retail stores are open and it’s business as usual in Quebec, however, City of Ottawa services are affected.

- Bayshore: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- St. Laurent: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Billings Bridge: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Place d’Orleans: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Carlingwood: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The ByWard Market is open.
- Most grocery stores are open.
- Shoppers Drug Mart locations are open.
LCBO and Beer Stores
Select The Beer Store locations will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
