Police raid homes in Gatineau, Ottawa; seize more than 600 grams of cocaine

A months-long investigation into drug trafficking in and around Gatineau has led to the seizure of drugs, weapons, money, a vehicle, and two 3D printers.

According to the Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG), the investigation focused on two addresses in the region, one in the Plateau sector of Gatineau and one in Ottawa.

The investigation culminated in the SPVG’s insider crimes section raiding the two homes around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Officers seized a large quantity of cocaine and narcotics, as well as 3D printers used to manufacture firearm frames.

In total, the following items were seized:

One man was arrested and has since been released. The SPVG says the accused could appear in court at a later date to face several drug and firearms charges.
