No victims reported following shooting in Ottawa’s west end

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) are soliciting help from the public with information around a shooting in Ottawa’s west end Monday night.

It happened near Tanglewood Park in Nepean shortly after 10:30 p.m.

OPS patrol officers heard the sound of possible gunshots and attended to the scene.

Upon arriving, multiple bullet casing along with other evidence were found near the entrance to the city park.

Police say no victims have been identified and no Ottawa-area hospitals have reported a potential victim.

Investigators say they received information that several vehicles fled the area before police could arrive. They have not released any potential vehicle descriptions.
