Multiple charges laid against two youths after Glebe high school incident
Police have charged two youths with multiple offences after Glebe Collegiate Institute was forced into lockdown just after noon on Tuesday.
Officers responded to the school on Glebe Avenue during the lunch hour.
In a statement, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) said the “lockdown was initiated as a result of an incident in the school community.”

Two people entered the school to hide from another member of the community. The OCDSB says due to the uncertainty of the events unfolding, they activated the lockdown, which was lifted about an hour later.
Ottawa police said they arrested two individuals, both under the age of 18, and took them into custody without incident.
On Wednesday, police say they have charged the first youth with three counts of mischief causing damage to property and one attempt to commit a dual procedure offence.
The second youth is charged with three counts of mischief causing damage to property, one attempt to commit a dual procedure offence and one count of failing to comply with a Youth Criminal Justice Act sentence.
