Ottawa man charged with dangerous driving killing a cyclist

A 25-year old Ottawa man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death following an incident involving the death of a cyclist.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a women police have identified at 33-year old Chanel Charette, was hit by a vehicle while riding her bike.

Charette left the scene and took herself to the hospital where she was pronounced dead two days later.

Tony Bere of Ottawa will attend a show case hearing later Sunday.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
