Ottawa police locate persons of interest in fatal Centretown shooting of teen

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has identified three persons of interest in connection with a fatal shooting in Centretown.

Quentin Dorsainvil, 18, was shot in the area of Percy and Nepean streets around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15.

At the time of the incident, a second victim also suffered non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. This person has since been treated and released from hospital.

Officers also took one person into custody days after the shooting with police confirming on Oct. 2 that this person was charged with firearm-related offences and the investigation into their involvement is ongoing.

The shooting has shocked Dorsainvil’s community.

“He leaves behind a beautiful family, including his parents, sisters and brother who are devastated and shocked by this loss and will need as much as help as possible,” a GoFundMe for the teen reads.
