A head-on collision in North Dundas Township has sent two people to hospital.
Around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, emergency services responded to the crash on Highway 43, between Boundary Road and Hallville, about 45 minutes south of Ottawa.
The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the collision involved a car and a pickup truck, each with a lone driver inside.
The driver of the car, a 28-year-old man from Chesterville, had to be extricated by the North Dundas Fire Department, while the driver of the pick-up, a 59-year-old man from North Dundas Township, was able to get out of the vehicle on his own.
Both were transported to a regional trauma centre for treatment and their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to contact SD&G OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E241317938.
