Ottawa Police investigating serious assault downtown

Ottawa Police Services are investigating a serious assault in the downtown area that left a man with serious burns.

Police were called to the 100 block of Queen Street just after 6 a.m. today in response to calls about a burn victim.

The man is in hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police have not said whether the incident was targeted and that the circumstances are under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contract the Central Criminal Investigations Unit or Crime Stoppers.
