Provincial police are searching for the suspect involved in a hit-and-run collision in Lanark County earlier this month, where a vehicle was forced off the road by a truck.
Around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Fallbrook Road, northeast of Perth. According to the Lanark County Detachment of the OPP, two vehicles were northbound when they were passed by a red Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
One of those vehicles was forced off the road, where it struck a rock cut and later caught fire.
Police said the pick-up truck did not stop after the collision and left the scene.
Multiple individuals who had stopped at the scene helped to pull people from the wreckage. In total, five people ranging in age from seven to 48 were taken to local hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck is described as a red Dodge Ram, a four-door crew cab, believed to be from 2005 to 2009.
If anyone has information that could help locate the truck or identify the driver, people can contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E241376046.
