Three Orléans homes up in flames; firefighter suffers second-degree burns

Eight people have been displaced from three homes following an early morning fire in Orléans.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to the 2000 block or Noblewood Way around 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 after multiple 9-1-1 calls reported that a single-family home was on fire. Callers also reported the fire was spreading to neighbouring homes.

Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed two single-family homes were fully engulfed in smoke and flames. OFS said flames could be seen shooting out of both roofs with the fire spreading to a third home. Initial reports were that everyone had safely evacuated all three homes.
