Suspect identified in Little Italy assault

Ottawa Police Services have identified the suspect allegedly responsible for the assault that occurred on Somerset Street West near Preston Street on Nov. 2.

At approximately 8:45 am, police reported the victim was standing at the Little Italy intersection when the suspect approached and without provocation assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the area on foot westbound on Somerset Street towards the community centre.

The victim sustained minor physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
