Traffic stop leads to major seizure

On the evening of Dec. 28, Ottawa OPP responded to a complaint about a possible impaired driver on Hwy 417.

Officers stopped the vehicle and conducted a roadside screening. The driver was then transported to the police detachment for further testing.

During the stop, police seized over $28,000 in cash and multiple suspected drug tablets.

An investigation is ongoing.

The OPP posted a thank you on X to residents who make calls to keep the roads safe.
