Gatineau driver charged with stunt driving for ‘excessive speed’ on Hwy. 416

The Ontario Provincial Police East Region TIME team has charged a Gatineau resident with stunt driving.
The 26-year-old was travelling at an “excessive speed” of 191 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone, OPP reported. The driver was clocked on Highway 416 driving into Ottawa.
The vehicle has been impounded for 14 days and the driver’s licence has been suspended for 30 days.
Upon conviction, the driver could face up to $10,000 in fines and further licence suspension.
