Winter parking ban lifted

A winter parking ban that was put into place at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, following another heavy snowfall, has now been lifted.
During a winter weather parking ban, parking is prohibited on city streets. This is to allow crews to plow easily and effectively. Any vehicle that is parked on the street may be ticketed or towed.
The exception is on-street monthly parking permit holders who can park in residential parking permitted zones.

Some commercial main streets are also exempt from the parking ban. Areas are identified with appropriate signage.

During winter weather parking bans, residents have access to parking at select OC Transpo park and rides as well as recreation centres.
Residents can park at in the following park and rides in spaces marked with parking signs:
- Riverview (at Earl Armstrong)
- Innovation (at Innovation Drive)
- Chapel Hill
- Nepean Woods (at Strandherd Drive)
- Greenboro
- Leitrim
- Eagleson (West lot)
