Police seeking witnesses to serious pedestrian collision downtown

The Ottawa Police Fatal Collision Unit is seeking witnesses to a serious collision that occurred Saturday morning at the intersection of Laurier Avenue East and Cumberland Street.
Emergency crews were called to the downtown intersection around 6:45 a.m. for a collision involving a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, who police describe as a man in his 20s, was transported to hospital by paramedics in life-threatening condition.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage.
