OPS seeking help to ID suspect who kicked, punched person at bus station

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking the public for assistance in identifying a female suspected of an assault at a bus station on Feb. 27, around 3:50 p.m.

The incident took place at the Marketplace bus station, located in the area of Greenbank Road and Marketplace Avenue, in Barrhaven, OPS wrote in a news release.

According to officials, this happened as the victim was waiting for the bus, the suspect approached and began punching and kicking them.

Following the altercation, the suspect left the area on foot and went towards Marketplace Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a white woman, 30-40 years old, approximately 5’7″ with a slim build.

During the incident, the suspect was seen wearing a grey or green winter jacket, purple tuque and brown boots, wrote OPS. The woman was also seen carrying a backpack and blue shopping bag.
